NEW EDI RESOURCES ADDED
Libraries planning activities for Money Smark Week (April 10-17, 2022) can apply for an Inclusive Financial Literacy Programming Kit from ALA. The kit is designed for school and public libraries and the target audiences are youth services and collection development. The application deadline is January 3, 2022.

TOWN HALL DISCUSSION: BOOK CHALLENGES
Registration is open for a town hall/discussion event hosted by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) on Wednesday, December 8 at 4 pm. The topic will be the rising number of book challenges.
AWARD CEREMONIES FOR OUTSTANDING LIBRARY, LIBRARIAN
There will be a short awards ceremony to present the 2021 WLA Outstanding Library Award to the Wyoming State Library on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. (2800 Central Avenue, Cheyenne, WY).
The 2021 WLA Outstanding Librarian Award will be presented to Rachael Svoboda (Laramie County Library System) on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Laramie County Library (2200 Pioneer Avenue, Cheyenne, WY).
NEW INTEREST GROUP ANNOUNCED
The Programming Interest Group (PIG) has been formed by a group of WLA members.
PIG "will connect Wyoming library employees who are interested in: organizing groups, events, programs, sharing ideas to help facilitate a better library community, and making connections between patrons. This interest group is different from YSIG in that the programs, events, and groups discussed will be for all patrons (family, adult, teen, and children)."
Information on how to join PIG will be posted soon! Membership will be $10 (the same as the other interest groups).
