Dues and DonationsMembership Dues Membership dues must be paid in full at the time election ballots are distributed in order to vote, and/or to receive the member registration rate for the annual conference. Interest Group Dues Donations Checks should be sent to:

DUES STRUCTURE CHANGING JANUARY 1, 2023 FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS
Active Membership (Voting) Examples of this membership category:
Dues for active memberships are based on salary: $1 per $1,000 salary, plus $10 for those who make over $20,000 per year. For those who make under $20,000 per year, membership is $20 per year.
Intellectual Freedom Membership (Non-Voting) Preferred dues are $3,000 per year. Organizations may contact the WLA President to make alternate arrangements, if needed. Associate Membership (Non-Voting) Associate membership is available to any individual not employed by a library who is interested in library work and the objectives of WLA. Examples of this membership category:
Dues for associate memberships are $8 per year. Institutional Membership (Non-Voting) Includes free membership for board members. Does not provide institutional employees with personal membership privileges.Dues for institutional memberships are $150 per year, which includes complimentary membership for your board.
