The 2023 Wyoming Library Association Legislative Reception will take place on Thursday, January 12 on the third floor of the Laramie County Library at 2200 Pioneer Avenue in Cheyenne. The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., preceded by a legislative update at 5:00 p.m. Make note of the new date and location—this year's reception is a month earlier than recent years.
Library directors, employees, trustees, and volunteers are invited and encouraged to be there. It’s a great opportunity to visit with your Wyoming senators, representatives, and elected officials about the importance of libraries and to offer them a hearty, home-cooked meal.
What makes the WLA reception stand apart is the wonderful food cooked by the library community! If you can bring a potluck dish, please contact Jessica Otto at the Wyoming State Library at jessica.otto@wyo.gov or (307) 777-6337 and indicate what you will bring and whether you will need an electrical outlet. Hot dishes are particularly appreciated.
