The Wyoming Library Association annual conference, originally scheduled for October 8-9 in Casper, has been moved online for 2020. This decision was made by the WLA Executive Board with input from library directors and staff from around the state, and reflects a common sense response to reduced budgets and ongoing public health concerns.
Rather than simply holding our regular sessions digitally, we have decided to try something a little different for our online WLA 2020 Conference. We plan to arrange for a smaller number of bigger presenters, focusing on timely and relevant subjects to libraries in 2020 and beyond. To those of you who have already submitted program proposals, thank you, and I hope you will consider holding on to those until the next in person conference or regional gathering.
WLA remains committed to supporting Wyoming libraries and library employees, and we look forward to seeing you (even if it is on a computer monitor) this October.Sincerely yours,
