[WLA-All] Academic Libraries' Talking Points

WLA members,

 

At the request of the Legislative Committee, I want to bring to your
attention the talking points for increased funding requests for the
academic libraries.  This has been posted to the website and copies
(with graphics) will be available during the Legislative Reception.  In
addition, the colleges have a brochure with additional information that
will be available.  

 

The county library endowment bill and the academic library funding
requests are complementary requests building on the 2006 Library Funding
Amendment.  Together, they strengthen libraries throughout Wyoming.  It
might occur that a legislator may inquire of public librarian about the
academic requests and I can verify that I have been asked my opinion of
the county library endowment bill.   The collaboration of librarians has
not gone unnoticed in Wyoming and we take pride in working well
together.
