University of Wyoming Libraries' receives book donation from China's
ambassador to the United States

 

Laramie, Wyo. - The People's Republic of China's ambassador to the
United States, Mr. Zhou Wenzhong, donated a collection of five hundred
books to the University of Wyoming during his visit to UW on August 30,
2007. The books, which have been inventoried by University Libraries and
UW Associate Research Scientist Zhaojie Zhang, are expansive and cover a
variety of topics that include Chinese history, culture, language, and
cuisine. In addition to print material, CDs and DVDs are included in the
collection. 

 

"These materials are particularly useful to individuals who are studying
Chinese as a foreign language at all levels, and to those who are
planning a visit to China," said Zhaojie Zhang. Materials from this
donation, which will be added to the University Libraries' collection,
will be available this fall. For more information about this donation,
