Audio and Video Equipment Basics for Libraries presents all the information librarians need to know to make intelligent decisions about providing listening and viewing facilities in libraries. Everything from what to look for when buying new equipment, to how it works, to what to think about when designing a new listening facility or retrofitting an existing space is considered.

Leadership basics for librarians and information professionals.
Focusing on leadership, this text- ideal for young, emerging managers and supervisors - is meant to guide future leaders in making the appropriate choices and decisions in response to and in anticipation of the competition.

Library board strategic guide: Going to the next level.
Library Board Strategic Guide: Going to the Next Level seeks to help trustees and their directors in three broad areas: understanding complex issues and their local impact, assessing the trustee's role in addressing those issues, and reviewing experiences and best practices from other libraries.

Managing facilities for results: Optimizing space for services.
This new hands-on workbook in the proven PLA Results Series guides library directors, staff, and boards through the process to prioritize new services that need space and identify an appropriate location. Supplemented with workforms and toolkits plus examples ranging from small to large public libraries, the process in equally valuable for school, special, and academic libraries who are faced with similar space repurposing challenges.

Something to talk about: Creative booktalking for adults.
This is an instruction manual and a material sourcebook in one. If you work with adults or are interested in reaching out to adults in your community, this is an ideal reference that provides practical information and a wide variety of booktalk samples to enhance your next program.

Your public library [videorecording (DVD)]: Keeping your community connected.
This eight-minute video features testimony from a variety of library users, in communities from big-city Chicago to small-town South Carolina, regarding the important impact that library-provided computers and the Internet access has made on their lives.
