[WLA-All] Legislative Reception - Last Minute Reminder

Hello all...
  Just want to give you an update.  I spoke with House Appropriations Chairman Frank Philp today (Tues).  He is still uncertain when he will schedule the endowment legislation for committee hearing.  I did tell him that Thurs. or Fri. would be great - as we would have a good number libraries represented. I am not sure that it will happen quite that quickly though.  It may be first part of next week. Unfortunately with this committee - we will be lucky to have 24 hours notice. However - when he does schedule it - I should know right away.  Looking forward to the Legislative Update and meeting many of you.

This year’s reception is particularly important because the legislature is considering the Public Library Endowment Challenge Program bill, which would provide additional money for public libraries.
