Don't Forget - The Legislative Reception is this Thursday at 5:30 PM at the Plains Hotel in Cheyenne.  In addition to on-street parking there is plenty of covered parking in the city parking garage on the corner of Lincolnway & Carey, it is only one block from the back entrance to the lobby and ballroom.  
 
Wyoming Libraries Build Communities:The 21st Annual Wyoming Library Association Legislative Reception Thursday, February 8, 2007The Historic Plains Hotel Ballroom in CheyenneReception - 5:30-8:30 PM(Legislative Update with Marian Schulz, WLA Lobbyist, begins at 5:00 PM in the west end of the Ballroom)  Start making your travel plans to attend the 21st Annual Wyoming Library Association’s Legislative Reception. This event offers a unique opportunity to meet new legislators, renew acquaintances with returning legislators, and meet other library advocates. The legislators always rave about our homemade fare so start testing out your most prized potluck dishes to bring to the reception!  This year’s reception is particularly important because the legislature is considering the Public Library Endowment Challenge Program bill, which would provide additional money for public libraries. Make checks payable to the Wyoming Library Association and mail to WLA, Box 1387, Cheyenne, WY 82003 or bring you donation to the reception and give to any reception committee member. We also ask you to bring publicity materials about your library’s programs and events to place on a display table at the reception. Please email the Reception Committee chair at ehayes at lclsonline.org to let us know what kind of dish you will bring, and if you need an electrical outlet for a hot dish.
